Needle Felted Scottish Terrier

The perfect gift for any Scottish Terrier lover! This little Scotty is 1.5'' (3.7 cm) tall (from toes to top of ears) and 1'' (2.7 cm) long (from chest to butt). He is 0.75" (2cm) high at the withers. It is static posed and perfect for a 1:12 scale doll house. It has been felted out of wool. The eyes and nose have been hand sculpted out of polymer clay by Kay.

Kay’s dogs are sculpted through a process called needle felting. Needle felting is the process of taking raw wool roving and using a special barbed needle to sculpt it into shape. The sculpting is done by poking the wool fibers thousands of times until they interlock and felt together. This process is extremely time-consuming. Each order will come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, which will include a photograph of the miniature needle felted dog.

The incredible Kay of Kay’s K9s creates pet sculptures from wool by a technique known as needle felting. Kay loves to do custom orders from photographs of customers' pets! She is able to work from these photographs to create a miniature version of each animal.

Each creation is an original One of a Kind (OOAK) work of art. No patterns or molds are used in their creation, ensuring that each miniature animal is absolutely unique. Kay can create animal sculptures as tiny as 1:12 dollhouse scale, or larger if preferred (up to 4" in size). Kay’s primary focus is on making needle felted dogs and cats, but she also creates other animals & work in other mediums on occasion. 

A portion of all Kay’s K9s proceeds will be donated to the Ontario SPCA and local animal shelters. Kay is a proud sponsor of shelter dogs.
