Rescue Me Tugz was started by the amazing Michele as a way to raise money for her local Great Dane rescue organization. Michele began selling durable & machine washable fleece tug toys at rescue events, and dog owners went crazy for them! Friends, family, and customers all encouraged Michele to offer her toys online, in order to raise more money for rescue groups. She has since expanded to help ALL the Great Dane rescues in the United States.
Since going online, Rescue Me Tugz has expanded to offer other toys, including Rescue Me Tailz and fleece balls, as well as other popular dog toys. 100% of Rescue Me Tugz proceeds are donated to rescue organizations like Heartland Great Dane Rescue (www.heartlandgdr.org).
A single mom to 7-year-old Chandler, Michele shares her home with a cat, ferret, and two rescue Danes, Daphne (11 years old) and Roscoe (4 years old). She also volunteers for the Central Florida Great Dane Rescue (www.cfgdr.org), where she does home visits, transports, fosters Danes, and helps educate the public on the breed. There really is no limit to Michele’s dedication to Great Danes and their rescue organizations!
